In this post, we are listing some of the most relevant external funding opportunities for Hanken researchers. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Hanken encourages its researchers to apply for external funding to maximise the resources available for research. A list of both current and upcoming funding opportunities from Finnish foundations are presented below. Foundations that offer grants for travel and\/or participation in conferences are listed separately. You may also want to search for open calls in other channels such as funding databases <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hanken.fi\/en\/research\/research-funding\/funding-database-research-professional\">Research Professional<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/research.fi\/en\/results\/funding-calls?status=open\">research.fi<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Support in the application process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Research Funding Services offers help and support to Hanken researchers for applications regarding research and innovation projects. If you plan to apply for funding for a major research project, you should contact the Research Funding Services at least two months before the application is to be submitted. The application must be of relevance to the Swedish language or the Swedish cultural heritage in Finland.&nbsp;<em>Deadline 28 February.&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gustafsvanljung.fi\/understod.php\"><strong>Gustaf Swanljungs stiftelse<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> The foundation promotes commerce, industry and agriculture in Vaasa and Ostrobothnia. Malm foundation<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> The foundation supports higher education, institutions or projects serving the common good, and scientific research, by granting stipends to individuals, work groups and organisations. <em>Deadline 30 April. <\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yjs.fi\/en\/grants\/\"><strong>Yrj\u00f6 Jahnsson Foundation<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> Every May, applications are accepted for grants for first- and second-year doctoral studies in economics. <em>Deadline 19 May. <\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/wihurinrahasto.fi\/?lang=en\"><strong>Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> Grants for the fields of science are primarily awarded for research work. The application must be of relevance to the Swedish language or the Swedish cultural heritage in Finland  <em>Deadline 28 February.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hanaholmen.fi\/en\/culturalcentre\/hanaholmen\/foundations\/the-finnish-danish-cultural-foundation\/\"><strong>The Finnish-Danish Cultural Foundation<\/strong><\/a><strong>: <\/strong>Grants for activities and visits to Denmark.
