A grant applicant\u2019s background may be from disciplines other than business economics, embracing fresh interdisciplinary approaches.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Grants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grants can be applied for by individuals, research groups, and organizations. Most of the grants awarded annually are aimed at doctoral and post-doc studies and education. The duration of personal working grants ranges from 4 to 12 months.&nbsp; In addition, targeted grants are awarded for a conference trip, study visit or other study trip, conference organization or other designated purpose. &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> The thematic special project&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsr.fi\/en\/themecall-2024-innovations-commercialisation-and-growth\/\">Innovations, Commercialization, and Growth<\/a>&nbsp;by the foundation is an important development area for enhancing Finland\u2019s competitiveness. With the grants awarded during 2024 to 2026, the fund aims to support high-quality business research on this theme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsr.fi\/en\/call-for-applications-2024\/\">Read the call text here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Three-Year Research Group grant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Research groups can receive three-year grants. The thematic special project for 2024 Innovations, Commercialization and Growth focuses on a key development area for enhancing Finland\u2019s competitiveness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three-year research group grant is for EUR 150,000\u2500300,000 (EUR 50,000\u2500150,000 \/ year). Please note that\u00a0<em>personal grants\u00a0<\/em>are applied for to cover salaries of research group members, while\u00a0<em>research costs<\/em>\u00a0can be in the form of funding that is administered by Hanken.
