{"id":1051,"date":"2024-01-15T15:31:13","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T15:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.hanken.fi\/research-funding-blog\/?p=1051"},"modified":"2024-01-15T15:31:15","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T15:31:15","slug":"research-perspectives-on-the-health-impacts-of-climate-change-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.hanken.fi\/research-funding-blog\/2024\/01\/15\/research-perspectives-on-the-health-impacts-of-climate-change-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Perspectives on the Health Impacts of Climate Change Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> 19 February 2024 to 20 February 2024;  11:00 to 15:30 UK time  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European Commission\u2019s Directorate-General for Research &amp; Innovation (DG RTD) will hold a high-level conference entitled \u201cResearch Perspectives on the Health Impacts of Climate Change\u201d which will bring together climate change and health researchers, funders and policymakers to reflect on the current challenges, priorities and needs for research and researchers in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the conference will support the launch of a strategic research and innovation agenda (SRIA) identifying the priority topics for the years to come on climate change and health research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference will feature sessions categorised under several themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Theme 1: Short and long-term impacts of climate change<br>Theme 2: Climate change in the context of other environmental stressors<br>Theme 3: Climate change and the health sector<br>Theme 4: A global research agenda on climate change and health<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, there will be an exhibition space on the conference premises which participants will be able to visit throughout the event.
