The Research Council of Finland (RCF) has opened the 2025 winter calls where postdoc researchers can apply for funding for Academy Projects, Academy Research Fellowships, or Academy Professor. The deadline for applications is 8 January 2025.
The calls are open 13 November 2024 until 8 January 2025 (16:15 Finnish time). The call texts are available in English, Finnish and Swedish on the RCF website.
- Academy Projects – (applications are invited from individual research teams or consortia composed of two or more teams. Usually the PI is a researcher at the professor or docent level)
- Academy Research Fellowships – (For individual researchers with first doctoral certificate dated between 1 January 2018 and 31 January 2023)
- Academy Professorships – (Applicants are expected to be internationally recognised, high-quality researchers (with evidence in CV and publication list) who can reach the international top in their field during the Academy Professorship funding period.)

- Research Council of Finland is organizing an “Ask Me Anything” session on 12 December at 13.00. Materials from previous sessions are also available on the site.
- At Hanken, we are arranging an info session 27.11 on “Research Council of Finland’s winter calls 2025” where two of our researchers will share their experiences of successfully applying for this funding.
- Hanken’s Research Funding Services are offering online Drop-in clinics for winter call applicants every Thursday at 12-12:30 until 19 December.
