Business Finland provides funding for research organizations and promote collaboration between research and business. Currently these open calls may be of interest to Hanken’s researchers.
- Partnership model funding call for Co-Research projects: Business Finland offers partnership funding for research projects in leading companies’ ecosystem themes. Funding is intended research organizations or joint projects of research organizations (Co-Research funding). The objective of Business Finland is to increase innovation activities and the competitive advantage of Finnish companies in international markets with partnership funding. Business Finland’s level of funding is typically 60 % with a total project duration of 2-3 years. Deadline for applications is 30 August 2024.
- Research to Business – funding for the commercialization preparation of research results: Business Finland will fund Research to Business projects in public research organizations where the project team prepares a research-based product or service idea for commercialization and carries out applied research which support the commercialization. The purpose of the commercialization preparation is to clarify the potential exploitation paths of the product or service idea and to help choose the most promising paths and ways that can lead to business either in a new start-up or in an existing company. Business Finland can fund 70 % of the total cost of projects with the total cost of the funded project limited to 700 000 euros ( or 800 000 euros in joint projects). Deadline for applications is 18 September 2024.
