The call texts for Academy Project funding and Academy Research Fellowship are now available on the Research Council’s website in English, Finnish and Swedish. The calls are open from 15 November until 17 January 2024 at 16.15 Finnish time.
The Academy Project funding targets individual research teams or consortia composed of two or more research teams to conduct excellent scientific research. The average funding for a four-year project is 400,000–500,000 euros. The PI of the proposed project must have significant scientific merits. usually at the level of professor or docent (adjunct professor).
An Academy Research Fellowship supports early-career researchers on fast career tracks. The funding can be applied for by an individual researcher with a first doctoral degree certificate dated between 30 Sep 2016 and 31 Jan 2022. The four-year funding to cover applicant’s salary, salary costs of research team and other research costs.
